The program "Holiday Traditions from Around the World" will be presented at the next luncheon for the LIFT (Ladies In Fellowship Together) group at the First Congregational Church, 47 Aurora St. in Hudson, Nov. 8. Lunch will be served by the church staff at noon, followed by the program. Highlights of the program include history, customs, music and decorations of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza and New Year. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. with the movies beginning promptly at 7. Adults and teens will be on site to provide and supervise activities.United Methodist hosts 'Search for Christ Child' The Hudson United Methodist Church, 2600 Hudson-Aurora Road, will host a "Search for the Christ Child" Dec. 2 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.The Search for the Christ Child begins in the inn where a census is taken. After light refreshments, a shepherd guide will accompany groups of travelers on an interactive pilgrimage in search of the Christ Child. Visitors are encouraged to dialogue along the way as they meet shepherds, angels, wise men and innkeepers. This 30-minute journey is free and for all ages. There is a $5 suggested donation at the door. Childcare available.Church plans lasertag, Bach concert First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls, 245 Portage Trail, invites fourth- through sixth-graders to an afternoon of laser tag at Fun-n-Stuff Nov. 11. Children should bring a sack lunch to be eaten at church at noon. This final concert will include the Prelude and Fugue in b minor, 4 Leipzig chorales: Come Holy Ghost, Lord God (2 settings), Lord Jesus Christ Turn to Us; Come God, Creator, Holy Spirit, the Chorale partita on Hail Merciful Jesus; Trio sonata 5, and Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor.
