Baseball team honors players at banquet

The Hudson baseball team recently had its awards banquet.

Johnny Merrill was named the team's Most Valuable Player and and top pitcher.

Nolan Laughlin was named the team's top offensive player and Hayden Knox and Spencer McClure were named the team's top defensive players. Laughlin also received the Ray Hyser Award.

Merrill, Laughlin and Troy Brown were named to the Suburban League National Conference first team and Knox, McClure and Bryce Kilfoyle were named to the second team.

Johnny Colesi and Seth Draper received honorable mention to the all-conference team.

A total of 37 Explorers were named Hudson Scholar Athletes and Suburban League Scholar Athletes.

Greater Cleveland Baseball Coaches Association: Brown, Colesi, Draper, Dev Gupta, Kilfoyle, Knox, Laughlin, McClure, Merrill, Oscarson and Sam Winston
