The Hudson Rugby Club girls team has proven to be one of the best teams in the state in recent years.
Unfortunately for Hudson, one team has been a thorn it its side during the last few years.
That would be perennial state powerhouse Cleveland St. Joseph Academy.
Hudson is the Division I runner-up for the third time in four years after losing to St. Joseph 66-12 in the state title match June 3 at Rocky River High School.
With the loss, Hudson finished 6-5 overall and 6-2 in Division I.
Clara Lemal-Brown had both tries for Hudson. Amy O'Connor had a conversion.
