Volleyball falls to Brunswick

The Hudson boys volleyball team ended its regular season with a 25-23, 25-20, 25-22 loss to Brunswick on the road.

Larry Meehan, who plans to continue his academic and soccer careers at Benedictine University in Chicago, had a strong all-around match with eight assists, eight digs, four kills, two blocks and no errors.

Matt Gentry had a team-high nine kills. He also had two blocks and two assists.

Aidan L'Hommedieu finished with 10 assists and three digs and Kellen McCabe had five digs and a 2.88 passer rating.

Also contributing for Hudson were Shane Chilcott (five kills, three blocks and two aces) and Thomas Morgan (9 digs and a 2.63 passer rating).

Meehan and Gentry recently were named to the All-North Region second team and Morgan received honorable mention.

Hudson (8-11) was scheduled to play Medina in the opening round of the Division I North Region tournament May 23 at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls. Results were not available at press time.
