Hudson boys volleyball falls to Brunswick

The Hud­son boys vol­ley­ball team ended its reg­u­lar sea­son with a 25-23, 25-20, 25-22 loss to Brunswick on the road.

Larry Mee­han, who plans to con­tinue his aca­demic and soc­cer ca­reers at Bene­dic­tine Univer­sity in Chicago, had a strong all-around match with eight as­sists, eight digs, four kills, two blocks and no er­rors.

Matt Gen­try had a team-high nine kills. He also had two blocks and two as­sists.

Ai­dan L'Homme­dieu fin­ished with 10 as­sists and three digs and Kellen McCabe had five digs and a 2.88 passer rat­ing.

Also con­tribut­ing for Hud­son (8-11) were Shane Chilcott (five kills, three blocks and two aces) and Thomas Mor­gan (9 digs and a 2.63 passer rat­ing).

Mee­han and Gen­try re­cently were named to the All-North Re­gion sec­ond team and Mor­gan re­ceived hon­or­able men­tion.
