WRA baseball loses finale 10-0 to Aurora

The host Western Reserve Academy baseball team concluded its season with a 4-1 victory over North Ridgeville Lake Ridge Academy May 13.

Lake Ridge scored three runs in the top of the second inning and one run in the fourth.

The Pioneers (6-13) scored their only run in the seventh. Reserve had three this and two errors. Lake Ridge had six hits and no errors.

Joey Randazzo had two hits for WRA.

The host Pioneers posted a lopsided 30-5 victory over Cleveland Max Hayes May 12. The game was called after 4-1/2 innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Reserve scored 20 runs in the first, one run in the second and nine runs in the third.

WRA had 15 hits and five errors. Max Hayes had four hits and four errors.

Hudson resident Michael Pamer had three hits and four runs batted in for the Pioneers.

Matthew Randazzo got the win on the mound. He struck out five batters in three innings of work.

Reserve lost to Aurora 10-0 in 4-1/2 innings May 9 on the road.

WRA had two hits and five errors. The Greenmen finished with 11 hits and no errors.
