Western Reserve Academy girls track and field team places fourth

The Western Reserve Academy girls track and field team concluded its season with a fourth-place total of 47 points at the Canton Central Catholic Jay Manse Relays May 13 at Massillon Perry High School.
Massillon Washington won the competition with 88 points and Youngstown Boardman (86) and Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas (60) finished second and third, respectively.
The long-jump relay of Alicia Ma and Juliana Xie placed first with a total distance of 29 feet, 8.75 inches.
Ma's leap of 16-2 ranked third in school history.
Also placing in the top three for the Pioneers were the following:
• 1,500 meters: Libby Russ, second, 5 minutes, 33.9 seconds (fourth all-time in school history)
• 6,400 relay: Russ, Elizabeth Downing, Clara Fu and Maggie Corl, second, 24:18.18
• High-jump relay: Micayla Brent and Madison Coleman, second, 8-10
• 1,600 relay: Amy Zhou, Russ, JJ Je and Alex Randazzo, second, 4:33.22
• 3,200 relay: Downing, Mairead Morrissey, Fu and Corl, third, 11:13.03
• 400 relay: Zhou, Christine Chan, Ma and Randazzo, third, 54.71
