Hudson girls track places fifth at conference meet

The Hudson girls track and field team placed fifth in the National Conference with 78 points at the Suburban League Championships May 11 at Nordonia High School's Boliantz Stadium in Macedonia.
Nordonia won the eight-team competition with 158 points and Twinsburg (125), Stow-Munroe Falls (83) and Brecksville-Broadview Heights (79) captured second, third and fourth, respectively.
Macy Lori won the title in the pole vault with a vault of 10 feet, 4 inches.
Also scoring team points for Hudson were the following:
• 100: Jenna Reitenbach, eighth, 13.1
• 200: Brynn Strawbridge, fifth, 26.59; and Ang Giaimo, seventh, 27.42
• 400: Emily Akin, fourth, 59.43; and Amy Morris, sixth, 1:01.18
• 800: Kalli Barrett, seventh, 2:24.86; and Hannah Teed, eighth, 2:28.08
• 1,600: Grace Turner, sixth, 5:29.24; and Cameron Bujaucius, seventh, 5:32.3
• 3,200: Bujaucius, sixth, 11:56.01; and Subi Simmons, eighth, 12:13.92
• 100 hurdles: Tori Shriver, sixth, 16.7
• 300 hurdles: Leah Hartman, sixth, 48.63
• 400 relay: Megan Boyda, Guliana LaMarca, Abby Petty and Reitenbach, third, 51.14
• 800 relay: Reitenbach, Morris, Giaimo and Strawbridge, fourth, 1:47.24
• 1,600 relay: Akin, Ashley Gorze, Hartman and Morris, fourth, 4:03.78
• 3,200 relay: Barrett, Turner, Teed and Akin, fourth, 9:51.07
• High jump: Brynn Meyer, second, 5-2
