Hudson boys track places fourth at conference meet

The Hudson boys track and field team placed fourth in the National Conference with 77 points at the Suburban League Championships May 11 at Nordonia High School's Boliantz Stadium in Macedonia.
Wadsworth won the eight-team competition with 144 points and Nordonia (112) and Brecksville-Broadview Heights (81) finished second and third, respectively.
Blake Roberts won the 1,600-meter title with a time of 9 minutes, 27.48 seconds.
Also scoring team points for Hudson were the following athletes:
• 100: Maxwell Doyle, seventh, 11.83
• 200: Dawson Wervey, second, 50.55
• 800: Connor Sinko, third, 2:01.48; and Eric Halford, eighth, 2:04.71
• 1,600: Adam Beucler, third, 4:18.78; and Jacob Russo, sixth, 4:34.85
• 3,200: Jack Good, third, 9:38.72
• 300 hurdles: Hunter Norman, seventh, 43.3
• 400 relay: Greg Mailey, Nick Zehnal, Nivash Jayaram and Doyle, fifth, 45.46
• 800 relay: Zehnal, Sam Durkin, Zack Rickey and Jayaram, sixth, 1:35.56
• 1,600 relay: Zehnal, Luke Good, Jayaram and Wervey, fourth, 3:29.85
• 3,200 relay: Roberts, Wervey, Beucler and Lucas Lay, second, 8:09.68
• Pole vault: Nathan Kravitz, seventh, 12 feet
• Long jump: Mailey, second, 20-5.5
• Shot put: John Marcinkiewicz, sixth, 46-9.25
