Pioneers fall on the road

The Western Reserve Academy baseball team fell to 5-11 on the season after losing to St. Thomas Aquinas 4-2 April 28 in Louisville.

St. Thomas Aquinas scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead for good.

The Pioneers had four hits and no errors. St. Thomas Aquinas had eight hits and one error.

Michael Burkhart pitched all six innings for Reserve and took the loss on the mound.

WRA is scheduled to visit Walsh Jesuit May 4 in Cuyahoga Falls. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.

The Pioneers are scheduled to host a doubleheader with Kiski (Pa.) May 6. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
