Boys lacrosse falls to Olentangy at home

The host Hudson boys lacrosse team fell to 9-4 on the season after losing to Olentangy 8-5 April 28 at Hudson Memorial Stadium.

The Braves (9-4) had a 5-3 lead at halftime. The Explorers were outscored 3-1 in the fourth quarter.

Chandler Kotseos, Danny Saxon, Blake Lori, Max Cole and Anthony Rightnour each scored once for Hudson.

Cole, Saxon and Adam Dunne each contributed one assist and Explorers' goalie Stroud Corr made six saves.

Hudson outshot the Braves 29-24 and had a 20-17 advantage in ground balls. Olentangy won 9 of 16 face-offs and committed 13 turnovers.

The Explorers, who honored head coach David Blue for his 300th career victory before the game, lost the ball 12 times.

Hudson's junior varsity team suffered its second straight loss. The Explorers fell to 10-2 in 2017 after losing 6-5.

The varsity squad was scheduled to visit Chagrin Falls May 2 at Harris Stadium. Results were not available at press time.

Hudson is set to entertain North Canton Hoover May 5 at 7 p.m.
