WRA boys lax beats Hoover 12-8

The Western Reserve Academy boys lacrosse team improved to 7-5 on the season after posting a 12-8 victory over Hoover April 24 in North Canton.

Brett Erskine led the way with three goals, one assist and eight ground balls and Joseph Jordan had three goals for the Pioneers, who won three straight games as of press time.

Andrew Boniface and Evan Bongers each had two goals and one assist and Zach Mandry had one goal and two assists. Nels Lund also scored for Reserve.

Paul Schumacher won nine face-offs and scooped up six ground balls. Spenser Valentine had five ground balls for WRA and Pioneers' goalie Ben Kishore had 12 saves and one assist.

Reserve was scheduled to visit University April 27 in Hunting Valley before heading to Mount Lebanon April 29. Results of those games were not available at press time.

WRA is set to visit Shady Side (Pa.) Academy May 5 at 7:30 p.m.
