The host Western Reserve Academy baseball team improved to 5-10 on the season after posting a 3-1 victory over Cleveland James Ford Rhodes April 26.
Michael Pamer pitched a complete-game four-hitter for the Pioneers. He finished with seven strikeouts.
Reserve scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead for good.
Alex Waye had two hits and Jack Barnes drew three walks for WRA.
The Pioneers earned a 5-1 victory over University April 25 in Hunting Valley.
With the scored tied at one, Reserve put it away with two runs apiece in the last two innings.
WRA finished with nine hits and no errors and the Preppers had three hits and one error.
Matthew Randazzo went the distance on the mound for the Pioneers.
Max Burkhart led Reserve with three hits and two runs batted in and Pamer and Matthew Filippelli each had two hits.
Casey Semple drove in the other run for WRA.
The Pioneers were scheduled to visit St. Thomas Aquinas April 28 in Louisville. They are set to entertain Cleveland Max S. Hayes in a doubleheader April 29. Results of those contests were not available at press time.
Reserve is scheduled to host Cleveland Glenville May 1 at 4:45 p.m.
