Pioneers baseball drop two games to Streetsboro

The Western Reserve Academy baseball team lost both ends of a doubleheader to Streetsboro April 22 on the road.

The Pioneers lost 9-2 in the first game. Michael Pamer and Alex Waye each had two hits and Jack Barnes and Colin McKenna drove in one run apiece for Reserve (3-9).

The Rockets scored five runs in the third to take a 7-0 lead.

WRA finished with eight hits and four errors and Streetsboro had 11 hits and two errors.

The Pioneers had just two hits in a 7-0 loss to the Rockets in the second game.

Reserve was scheduled to host Gates Mills Gilmour Academy April 24 and Hunting Valley University April 25. Results of those games were not available at press time.

WRA is set to entertain Cleveland James Ford Rhodes April 26 at 4:30 p.m.

The Pioneers are scheduled to visit Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas April 28 at 5 p.m. before returning home to play a doubleheader with Cleveland Max Hayes April 29. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
