Hudson boys track and field falls to conference rival Wadsworth

The Hudson boys track and field team squared off against the defending Suburban League National Conference champion April 25 on the road.
Although the Explorers suffered a defeat, they did not back down from Wadsworth. The Grizzlies topped Hudson by the score of 96-41.
Hudson had just three athletes who finished first in individual events. Two of them were in the track events.
Junior Dawson Wervey finished first in the 400-meter race with a time of 51.1 seconds, while sophomore Adam Beucler placed first in the 3,200 with an effort of 9:27.
The Explorers also notched a first-place finish in an individual field event.
Senior John Marcinkiewicz accomplished the feat in the shot put, launching the put a distance of 41 feet. Hudson was not able to finish first in any of the relay races.
With the loss, the Explorers' overall record on the season slid to 4-2. Hudson also is 4-2 in the National Conference.
