It was a safe bet that it was going to be a high-scoring game after the first inning.
The Explorers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in their half of the inning and then Wadsworth tied the game up in its half of the inning.
The offensive fireworks continued for the next four innings.
Let's just say Hudson's bats did most of the damage.
The Explorers won their fourth consecutive game after posting a commanding 19-4 victory over the Grizzlies April 25 on the road. The game was called after five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.
With the win, Hudson improved to 12-4 overall and 7-3 in the Suburban League National Conference.
Wadsworth scored one run in the bottom of the second to take a 4-3 lead.
It was all Explorers after that.
Hudson scored three runs apiece in the third and fourth innings, respectively, and put it away with 10 in the fifth.
The Explorers finished with 13 hits and four errors. The Grizzlies had four hits and five errors.
Right-hander Isaac Wiley went the distance on the mound to improve to 4-0 in 2017. He did not allow an earned run and finished with three strikeouts and three walks.
