Hudson girls track and field team places 11th at GlenOak

The Hudson girls track and field team finished in 11th place with 33 points at the 21-team Second Sole Eagle Elite meet April 15 at GlenOak High School in Canton.
Medina easily won the competition with 107 points and Strongsville (64) and GlenOak (57) took second and third, respectively.
Molly Stecker and Macy Lori each placed second for the Lady Explorers.
Stecker was the runner-up in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 4 inches and Lori took second in the pole vault with a vault of 10 feet.
Leading Hudson in the running events was the 3,200-meter relay team of Hannah Teed, Grace Turner, Cameron Bujaucius and Emily Akin. That team placed third with a time of 9 minute, 57.92 seconds.
The 400 relay team of Jenna Reitenbach, Megan Boyda, Guliana LaMarca and Lauren Heidler finished sixth (51.44).
The 1,600 relay team of Emily Akin, Amy Morris, Ashley Gorze and Brynn Strawbridge also captured sixth (4:12.35).
The Lady Explorers' other sixth-place finish came from Brynn Meyer in the long jump (5-2).
Placing eighth for Hudson were Teed in the 800 (2:30.68) and Bujaucius in the 3,200 (12:01.07).
