The Western Reserve Academy girls track and field team finished seventh with 36 points at the 14-team East Palestine Invitational April 8 at East Palestine's Reid Memorial Stadium.
Springfield won the competition with 101.5 points and Kinsman Badger (94) and East Liverpool Beaver Local (88) placed second and third, respectively.
The Pioneers, who scored in eight of the nine events they entered, scored team points in the following events:
3,200-meter relay: Maggie Corl, Julia Ashley, Elizabeth Downing and Clara Fu, fourth, 11 minutes, 36.43 seconds
800 relay: Amy Zhou, Alicia Ma, Jihyeon Je and Alexandra Randazzo, second, 1:57.8
400 relay: Zhou, Christine Chan, Ma and Randazzo, fourth, 55.13
800: Fu, fifth, 2:44.09
3,200: Downing, fifth, 13:41.7
1,600 relay: Zhou, Ellen Dietrich, Je and Randazzo, fourth, 4:35.84
High jump: Ma, fifth, 4-6
Olivia Robinson had a personal-best time of 6:21.4 in the 1,600.
Reserve was scheduled to visit Shaker Heights Laurel April 11 at the Laurel School Butler Campus in Russell. Results were not available at press time.
WRA is set to compete at the Perry Relays April 15 at 9:30 a.m.
