Girls track team places 5th at Lex Invitational

The Hudson girls track and field team finished fifth with 69 points at the 13-team Lexington Invitational April 8.

Strongsville won the competition with 107.5 points and Dublin Coffman (105) and Canton GlenOak (96.5) placed second and third, respectively.

The following Lady Explorers scored team points:

3,200-meter relay: Cameron Bujaucius, Grace Turner, Kalli Barrett and Emily Akin, fourth, 10 minutes, 2.7 seconds

100 hurdles: Tori Shriver, sixth, 17.23

800 relay: Jenna Reitenbach, Lauren Heidler, Amy Morris and Brynn Strawbridge, fifth, 1:49.72

400 relay: Reitenbach, Megan Boyda, Guliana Lamarca and Heidler, fifth, 52.36

400: Morris, third, 1:02.11

300 hurdles: Shriver, fourth, 49.9

3,200: Bujaucius, fifth, 12:10.02

1,600 relay: Akin, Morris, Sydney Booth and Strawbridge, fourth, 4:18.94

Pole vault: Macy Lori, tied for second, 10 feet

Long jump: Taylor Miller, fourth, 15-6.5

High jump: Molly Stecker, tied for second, 5-5; and Brynn Meyer, sixth, 5 feet

Discus: Christina Core, third, 89-9; and Jocelyn Weaver, fourth, 87-3

Hudson was scheduled to visit Suburban League National Conference rival Cuyahoga Falls April 10 at the Laybourne Sports Complex. Results were not available at press time.

The Lady Explorers are scheduled to compete at the Golden Eagle Elite Meet April 15 at GlenOak High School in Canton. The meet is set to begin at 9 a.m.
