The Hudson boys lacrosse team dropped to 5-1 on the season after suffering a 14-9 defeat to Everest (Ontario, Canada) Academy April 6 at Hudson Memorial Stadium.
Everest (1-1) led 7-4 at halftime and 11-6 at the end of three quarters.
Max Cole scored twice and had one assist for the Explorers and Blake Lori had two goals.
Anthony Rightnour and Angelo Donatelli each had one goal and one assist and Patrick Burdett, Cole Miller and Brady Ludewig each scored once.
Hudson goalie Stroud Corr finished with 13 saves.
Everest, which got a game-high eight goals from Corson Kealey, outshot the Explorers 36-33. Both teams had 28 ground balls.
Hudson won a season-best 15-of-18 face-offs and committed 16 turnovers. Everest lost the ball 20 times.
