Hudson bats come alive to salvage split with North Royalton

What a difference a day makes.
Some 24 hours after Hudson was shut down by North Royalton ace David Stewart, the bats came alive April 6 at The Ballpark at Hudson.
Hudson improved to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the Suburban League National Conference after posting a 13-8 victory over the Bears.
On April 5, the Explorer bats went quiet in a 1-0 loss on the road.
After four innings of play April 6, Hudson had an 11-0 lead.
The Explorers, who finished with nine hits and one error, had eight players get at least one hit.
Johnny Merrill had a double and a triple, two runs batted in and a run scored. He also drew a walk.
Bryce Kilfoyle had a double and three RBIs and Spencer McClure had a single, a walk, an RBI and three runs scored.
Hayden Knox had the other extra base hit for Hudson. He had a double, a walk, two runs scored and an RBI.
Right-hander Troy Brown was cruising along until he ran into some trouble in the fifth. Brown improved to 1-1 in 2017.
