Reserve gets win and loss

The host Western Reserve Academy boys lacrosse team lost to Kiski (Pa.) 12-3 April 2.

Joseph Jordan had two goals and Andrew Boniface had one goal and one assist for the Pioneers (3-2). Ben Slotnik also had an assist.

Brett Erskine and Paul Schumacher each had five ground balls. Schumacher also won 9-of-16 face-offs.

WRA goalie Ben Kishore made 10 saves.

The Pioneers earned a commanding 15-4 victory over Walsh Jesuit April 1 in Cuyahoga Falls.

Erskine led Reserve with seven goals, one assist and five ground balls and Evan Bongers had three goals and three ground balls.

Boniface added three goals and an assist for WRA.

Jordan contributed a goal and three ground balls and Danny Croasdaile also scored for the Pioneers.

Schumacher led Reserve with seven ground balls and he also won 15-of-21 face-offs.

WRA is scheduled to entertain Cleveland St. Ignatius April 5 at 4:30 p.m. The Pioneers are set to host Upper Arlington April 8 at 2 p.m.
