The Hudson boys lacrosse team improved to 3-0 with a 15-11 victory over Mason March 25 at Hudson Memorial Stadium.
The Explorers fell behind 2-0, but they took the lead for good by answering with seven straight goals.
The Comets cut their deficit to 10-9 when Noah Harrison scored late in the third quarter, but Hudson scored three answered goals to take control again.
Max Cole, who had eight assists in one game earlier in the season, led the Explorers' offense with a goal and four assists.
Cole Miller had four goals for Hudson and Blake Lori and Anthony Rightnour each had two goals and two assists.
Angelo Donatelli and Merrick Widdoes each had one goal and one assist and Patrick Burdett, Will Orazen, Danny LaFontaine and Kevin Callahan each scored once for the Explorers. Brady Ludewig added an assist.
Danny Saxon also had a strong game with six caused turnovers and four ground balls. Hudson goalie Stroud Corr finished with 12 saves.
Kevin Peischl, Austin Croy and Noah Harrison each had two goals for Mason (0-1) and Brady Smith, Eric Thomas, Alexander Wells, David Sun and Ethan Fedders each scored once for the Comets.
Mason goalie Jeremiah Shaw made 11 saves in the nets.
The Comets won 21 of 29 face-offs, but the Explorers won the last four. Hudson had a 35-23 edge in ground balls.
