The Lady Explorers, who snapped a five-game losing streak, outscored the Lady Hornets 28-21 in the second half. Senior guard Ava Cristofoli led Hudson with a career-high 31 points. She had 27 points heading into the fourth quarter and her six 3-pointers tied a school record that was shared by teammate Emma Messina and 2011 graduate Christie Wade.
"Ava played really well," Lady Explorers head coach Dennis Lawler said. "She had some steals and was very efficient."
Lorenza Chiarappa and Traci Wright combined for 14 of Hudson's 18 points in the final period.
"Lorenza and Traci stepped up in the fourth," Lawler said. "We have been much more aggressive and physical."

The Lady Explorers posted a 40-35 win in the junior varsity game to finish 12-8 on the season.
