The host Hudson boys basketball team improved to 7-9 overall and 3-6 in the Suburban League National Conference after posting a 54-48 victory over Cuyahoga Falls Feb. 3 at Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.
Jackson Parker led the Explorers with a game-high 20 points. He also had 10 rebounds as Hudson led by double digits in the fourth quarter until the Black Tigers cut their margin in the closing minutes.
Ja'Quan Campbell and Dion Davis each had 12 points for Falls and Troy Tofil added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Black Tigers (7-10, 2-7).
The Explorers earned a 54-39 win in the junior varsity contest. A total of 12 players scored for Hudson. Alec Jackson led the Explorers with 9 points.
Hudson's freshman team earned a 46-44 victory.
