Reserve ice hockey team crushes Linsly

The Western Reserve Academy ice hockey team earned a commanding 7-1 victory over Linsly Jan. 24 at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W. Va.

Tommy Wagner and Brett Erskine each had two goals and Leo Holland, Zach Mandry and Danny LaFontaine each scored once for the Pioneers, who improved to 6-12 overall and 2-2 in the Independent School Hockey League.

Reserve goaltender Noah Goad made 30 saves between the pipes.

WRA was scheduled to host Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League Red North Division rival Shaker Heights Jan. 28 at Kent State University Ice Arena. Results were not available at press time.

The Pioneers set to visit Red North Division foe Rocky River Feb. 3 at Hamilton Ice Arena. Play is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
