The Hudson boys and girls bowling teams lost to Solon Jan. 19 at Roseland Lanes in Oakwood Village.
The boys team fell to 6-4 on the season after suffering a 2,492-2,361 defeat and the girls dropped to 1-8 after losing 2,016-1,839.
The boys reached more than 2,300 pins for the third straight match. Sam Karman (198 and 179) and Noah Twigg (182 and 195) each bowled a 377 series to lead the Explorers. Logan Loeffler had the high game (203).
Also faring well for Hudson were Rhami Shiyab (186 and 173) and Andrew Brechtelsbauer (163 and 194).
Alyssa Germano had the high game (personal-best 185) for the Lady Explorers. She also bowled a 120 for a team-high 305 series.
Not far behind was Celia Manders (156 and 144). Rounding out the top four for Hudson was Jackie Smith (145 and 136) and Lauren Malaska (150 and 128).
The Explorers won the boys junior varsity match 1,727-1,460. Andrew Fernando had the high game (169) and James Liu (162 and 137) had the high series (299).
The Hudson girls lost the JV match 1,249-1,195. Savannah Bradenburg had the high game (161) and series (256).
All four teams are scheduled to host Suburban League rival Kent Roosevelt Jan. 25 at the Sto-Kent Family Entertainment Center in Stow. Bowling is set to begin at 4:15 p.m.
