The Hudson boys bowling team improved to 6-3 overall and 6-3 in the Suburban League after posting a 2,344-2,197 victory over Brecksville-Broadview Heights Jan. 17 at Cloverleaf Lanes in Independence.
The Explorers clinched the win by triumphing in two of the three Baker games. They won the first game 232-160, lost the second game 175-157 and won the third game 240-175.
"We pulled away with some great Baker games," Hudson head coach John Brockway said. "This win guarantees that we will finish with a winning record in the league."
Sam Karman led the Explorers with scores of 197 and 178, respectively.
Logan Loeffler was next for Hudson with scores of 196 and 160 and Rhami Shiyab contributed scores of 179 and 172. James Liu added a 178 game for the Explorers.
Hudson lost 1,618-1,597 in the junior varsity contest. Dillon Muccino led the Explorers with scores of 155 and 141.
Both the boys and girls teams were set to visit Solon Jan. 19 at Roseland Lanes in Oakwood Village. Results were not available at press time.
Both teams are scheduled to host Suburban League rival Kent Roosevelt Jan. 25 at Sto-Kent Family Entertainment in Stow. Bowling is set to begin at 4:15 p.m.
