Hudson boys hoops team falls to rival Brecksville-Broadview Heights

The Hudson boys basketball team lost to Brecksville-Broadview Heights 45-42 Jan. 20 on the road.
With the loss, the Explorers fell to 4-8 overall and 1-5 in the Suburban League National Conference.
Matt Dimijitrevs led the Bees with 16 points and also converted both ends of a one and one to give Brecksville a 45-42 lead with 6.6 seconds left.
Unfortunately for Hudson, the Bees had a couple of fouls to give, which ate up some precious seconds off the clock. Dimijitrevs concluded the game when he got his hands on a loose ball after and Explorers' inbounds' pass was tipped.
Greg Mailey led Hudson with a season-high 19 points. He finished with six 3-pointers.
The Explorers' junior varsity team fell to 8-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference after losing 56-54 in overtime. Alec Jackson led Hudson with 12 points and Kevin McBride added 11 points for the Explorers.
Hudson's freshman team suffered a 55-47 defeat in overtime.
