The Hudson boys bowling team improved to 5-3 overall and 5-3 in the Suburban League after posting a 2,353-2,320 victory over Tallmadge Jan. 12 at Stonehedge Lanes in Akron.
Rhami Shiyab led all bowlers with a 454 series. He rolled games of 208 and 246, respectively.
Noah Twigg was next with games of 228 and 172 and Sam Karman added games of 213 and 162 for the Explorers, who lost two of three Baker games.
The Hudson girls fell to 1-7 overall and 1-7 in the league after losing 2,081-1,607.
Lauren Malaska led the way with games of 133 and 156. Alyssa Germano rolled scores of 121 and 129 for the Lady Explorers.
The junior varsity boys lost 2,160-1,861. Dillon Muccino led Hudson with scores of 187 and 151.
The Explorer boys were scheduled to visit Suburban League rival Brecksville-Broadview Heights Jan. 17 at Cloverleaf Lanes in Independence. Results were not available at press time.
Both teams are set to visit Solon Jan. 19 at Roseland Lanes in Oakwood Village. Bowling is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
