The host Hudson girls soccer team improved to 7-4-2 overall and 3-1-2 in the Suburban League National Conference after earning a 5-2 victory over Wadsworth.
The game took place Oct. 5 at Hudson Memorial Stadium.
"We played one of our better games of the season," Lady Explorers head coach Chris Gentille said. "We played a good first half and then we got a little too comfortable in the second half and had to work harder than we should have.
"I liked the way we found goal-scoring opportunities and the defense played a good game."
Hudson got an own goal to take a 1-0 lead and then got goals by Jordan Manley and Grace Killeen to take a 3-0 advantage at halftime.
After the Lady Grizzlies scored on a free kick, Manley and Jenna Reitenbach each found the net to make it 5-1 in favor of Hudson.
Elena Vuksta and Lexi Muccino each had one assist for the Lady Explorers.
Hudson goalkeeper Lilly Morgan made two saves. The Lady Explorers had an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal. Both teams had one corner kick.
