The Western Reserve Academy boys cross country team placed 17th with 501 points at the 26-team Woodridge Cuyahoga Valley National Park Invitational Oct. 1 at Kendall Hills in Peninsula.
Woodridge won the competition with 55 points and Brecksville-Broadview Heights (68) and Bainbridge Township Kenston (80) finished second and third, respectively.
Twisburg's Ryan Adkins won the 214-person race.
Adkins finished with a time of 17 minutes, 13 seconds.
Sammy Bluso led the Pioneer runners with a 57th-place time of 19:41.5.
Rounding out the top five for Reserve were Cole Howard (101st, 20:53.9), Charlie Kolodziej (126th, 21:18.9), Will Downing (136th, 21:36.7) and Sasha Davis (147th, 21:45.8).
WRA is scheduled to run at the Medina Invitational Oct. 8 at Ella Canavan Elementary School. Racing is set to begin at 11:40 a.m.
