Walsh shuts out Western Reserve Academy boys soccer team

The Western Reserve Academy boys soccer team dropped to 4-6-2 on the season after losing to Walsh Jesuit 3-0 Sept. 27 at Walsh's John Kissner Field in Cuyahoga Falls.

The Warriors (4-5-2) had a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Pioneers' goalkeeper Josh Weinberg made eight saves.

Walsh had an 11-2 advantage in shots on goal and a 1-0 edge in corner kicks.

Reserve was scheduled to visit Cardinal Mooney Oct. 1 in Youngstown. Results were not available at press time.

WRA is set to visit Hawken Oct. 6 in Gates Mills.

Play is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
