The Western Reserve Academy golf team finished second with a score of 322 at the 11-team Aurora Invitational Sept. 22 at Barrington Country Club.
University (Hunting Valley) won the title with a score of 317 and Bainbridge Township Kenston took third (325).
Willoughby South's Tony Bodziony earned medalist honors with a 74. Zach Mandry led the Pioneers with a score of 77 and teammates Emily Root and Kevin Escott each shot an 80. Paul Schumacher rounded out the team scoring for Reserve with an 85.
WRA improved to 15-1 with a convincing 156-188 victory over Elyria Catholic Sept. 23 at Lake Forest Country Club.
Michael Pamer led the Pioneers with a 38 to earn medalist honors. Root and Mandry each shot a 39 and Escott shot a 40 for Reserve.
One day after dropping its first match of the season, WRA earned a 157-171 win over Shaker Heights.
