The host Hudson girls tennis team improved to 11-5 with a 3-2 victory over Westlake in a Northeast Ohio Tennis Coaches Association match Sept. 16.
Molly Sandberg improved to 18-0 with a 6-0, 6-2 win at first singles.
The Lady Explorers' other victories took place in doubles' play.
Hudson's first doubles' team of Jenny Gan and Grace Graham earned a 6-2, 6-1 win.
The Lady Explorers' second doubles' team of Susie Fan and Istabraq Dalieh scored a 7-5, 7-5 victory.
Hudson continued its dominance against Suburban League National Conference opponents.
The Lady Explorers improved to 6-0 in the National Conference with a convincing 5-0 win over Brecksville-Broadview Heights on the road.
Hudson won every match in straight sets.
Sandberg cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at first singles.
Graham cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 win at second singles and Isabelle Mawby posted a 6-1, 6-3 victory.
The Lady Explorers' doubles teams of Gan and Fan (7-6, 6-3) and Madeline Elliott and Dalieh (6-3, 6-3) also triumphed.
Hudson was scheduled to entertain Rocky River Magnificat in a Northeast Ohio Tennis Association match Sept. 19 before heading to Walsh Jesuit for another NEOTA match Sept. 20 in Cuyahoga Falls. Results of those matches were not available at press time.
The Lady Explorers are set to visit Suburban League National Conference rival Cuyahoga Falls Sept. 21 at 4 p.m.
Hudson is scheduled to compete at the Suburban League Tournament Sept. 24 at Highland High School in Medina. Play is set to begin at 9 a.m.
