With a new coach and several new players, it has been a work in progress for the Hudson girls soccer team.
On Sept. 17, the Lady Explorers gave their opponent a glimpse of how good they can be when they put it all together.
Hudson improved to 5-2-1 after posting a 2-0 victory over Green Sept. 17 in Uniontown.
Jordan Manley scored both goals and Molly Charpentier had an assist.
The Lady Explorers had a 7-1 advantage in shots on goal as Hudson goalkeeper Lily Morgan needed to make just one save.
The Bulldogs had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
"The defense played great all game and it was one of our better nights of the season when it came to our ball movement and possession," Lady Explorers' first-year head coach Chris Gentille said.
"It comes at a good time for us."
Hudson's junior varsity "A" team rallied from a 1-0 deficit to beat Green 2-1.
The JV "A" squad improved to 5-2-1.
The varsity team was scheduled to visit Medina Sept. 19. Results were not available at press time.
The Lady Explorers are set to visit Suburban League National Conference rival Stow-Munroe Falls Sept. 21.
Hudson is scheduled to visit National Conference foe Twinsburg Sept. 28. Both games are set to begin at 7 p.m.
