Hudson boys soccer shuts out Cuyahoga Falls

The Hudson boys soccer team improved to 6-1-1 overall and 3-0 in the Suburban League National Conference after posting a 3-0 victory over Cuyahoga Falls Sept. 13 at the Laybourne Sports Complex.

The Explorers had a 2-0 lead at halftime. Ryan Jackson had a goal and an assist and Jack Sarkisian and Larry Meehan also scored for Hudson.

Alex Vuksta and Jarrett Widdoes each had an assist and Explorers' goalkeeper Connor Gynn made one save in the nets.

Hudson had a 9-1 advantage in shots on goal and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Explorers are scheduled to host National Conference rival Stow-Munroe Falls Sept. 20 at Hudson Memorial Stadium. Play is set to begin at 7 p.m.

Hudson is scheduled to visit backyard rival Western Reserve Academy Sept. 24 at 1 p.m.
