"We had a solid day with fewer big errors," Explorers head coach Dave Kurtz said. "We only had two doubles and both were short game -- not swing-related. Unanswered question: Can we consistently do it on a tougher course?"

The Explorers were scheduled to play at the St. Edward Invitational Sept. 17 at Lakewood Country Club. Results were not available at press time.

Hudson is set to visit National Conference rivals Wadsworth Sept. 20 at Barberton Brookside Country Club in Norton and Brecksville-Broadview Heights Sept. 22 at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course.

Both matches are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
