Hudson boys cross country team places second at Boardman

The Hudson boys cross country team finished second with 168 points at the 46-team Boardman Spartan Invitational Sept. 17.

Solon easily won the competition with 70 points and Cleveland St. Ignatius took third with 184 points.

Mentor's Matthew Bull placed first out of 526 runners with a time of 15 minutes, 51.9 seconds.

Sophomore Adam Beucler led the Explorers with a 17th-place clocking of 16:53.7.

Next for Hudson was sophomore Evan Manley, who finished 25th in 17:00.2.

Rounding out the top five for the Explorers were sophomore Jacob Russo (34th, 17:10.1), senior Blake Roberts (42nd, 17:17.3) and junior Jack Good (50th, 17:24.8).
