Alex Vuksta leads Hudson boys soccer past North Royalton

The host Hudson boys soccer team improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Suburban League National Conference with a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over North Royalton Sept. 6 at Hudson Memorial Stadium.

Alex Vuksta scored the last of his game-high three goals with six minutes left to break a 3-3 tie.

The Explorers trailed 2-0 after the first 15 minutes of the game, but they rallied to tie the game at two by halftime.

Larry Meehan also found the net for Hudson. Jack Sarkisian had two assists and Ryan Jackson contributed one assist for the Explorers.

Hudson goalkeeper Connor Gynn made two saves.

The Explorers had a 12-5 advantage in shots on goal and an 8-5 edge in corner kicks. The Bears fell to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the National Conference.

Hudson was scheduled to visit Worthington Kilbourne Sept. 10. Results were not available at press time.

The Explorers are set to visit National Conference rival Cuyahoga Falls Sept. 13 at Laybourne Field.
