The Hudson girls soccer team suffered its first loss of the season Sept. 3 in Massillon.
The Lady Explorers fell to 3-1 after losing a 3-0 decision to Jackson despite having a 6-5 advantage in shots on goal. The Lady Polar Bears improved to 4-1 with the win.
"The girls didn't play well," Hudson first-year head coach Chris Gentille said. "We had a hard time generating our attack. We made a lot of mistakes all over the field both on the defensive and offensive sides of the ball. We got away from the things we've done well in our first three games.
"We didn't do well at keeping possession of the ball and we made a couple mistakes on defense to lead to goals. The good news is these are things we can correct and get better at as the season progresses."
The Lady Explorers are scheduled to visit Suburban League National Conference rival North Royalton Sept. 7 at 7:15 p.m. Hudson is set to visit Suburban League crossover foe Copley Sept. 10 at 3 p.m.
