The Western Reserve Academy football team improved to 2-0 with a thrilling 64-62 victory over Cardinal Stritch.
With less than a minute left, Cardinal Stritch scored to cut its deficit to 64-62. Cardinal Stritch attempted to go for two and Pioneers' linebacker Jayden Demmy batted down the pass to secure the victory.
Demmy also finished with 14 carries for 289 yards and five touchdowns on offense. Dakota Gibbons added 139 yards and a touchdown in five carries and Owen Levin contributed 89 yards and a score in 13 attempts.
Anthony Marshall had 64 yards on nine carries as Reserve racked up 588 rushing yards in 41 attempts.
Marshall also had a 28-yard TD reception and a 15-yard interception return for a score.
