The host Hudson girls soccer team earned a 4-1 victory over Nordonia in its Suburban League National Conference debut Aug. 30 at Hudson Memorial Stadium.
Grace Killeen got the Lady Explorers on the board, but the Lady Knights tied the game.
But Hudson took complete control after Nordonia tied the game.
Kimberly Sauers, Rayna McLean and Elena Vuksta each scored once for the Lady Explorers (3-0, 1-0).
Killeen, McLean and Kimberly Sauers each had one assist for Hudson. The Lady Explorers had a 13-1 advantage in shots on goal and a 4-0 edge in corner kicks.
"The midfield and defense played very well after giving up the first goal," Hudson head coach Chris Gentille said. "Cali Stuursma, Molly Charpentier, Malloree Weber, Brook Lakash, Kimberly Sauers and Meredith Liechty all were solid in the back to lead the way as well as Lily Morgan in goal.
"Anna Campanella and Claire McIsaac controlled the midfield along with Elena Vuksta, Olivia Adkins and Lauren Heidler."
The Lady Explorers were scheduled to visit Jackson Sept. 3 in Massillon. Results were not available at press time.
