Hudson High School plans to introduce several former standout athletes into its Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame during the Hudson football game Sept. 19.
The luncheon is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and kickoff is set for 7 p.m. The breakfast and induction ceremony is scheduled to take place Sept. 20 at the high school commons and auditorium. The breakfast is set to begin at 8:30 a.m.
Jeff Kurtz is expected to be the master of ceremonies. Each member gets a Hall of Fame varsity letter, a plaque for themselves and one for the school.
The plaques for the school will be housed in the new Hall of Fame room in the Malson Athletic Center.
The Hall of Fame induction list includes the 1986 and 1996 Hudson girls field hockey teams, Tom and Joy Murdough, Dick and Barb Malson, coaches Pat Laflin and Ed Sogan, who also was Hudson High School's athletic director and former athletes Christy Finch (Class of 2004), Jaime Farnham (1991), Ivan Siegfreid (1941), Ed Lopeman (1960), Ron Ulrich (1958), Heidi Hyser (1974), John Parris (1977), Andy Phipps (1996), Eric Phipps (1998), Pete Phipps (2001), Mike Piro (1986), Scott Williams (1976), John Grell (1956) and John Strong (1981).
