Hudson's Division 1 team now prepares for the state playoffs.
Hudson was scheduled to play Pinkerington May 17 at Portman Park in Canal Winchester. Results were not available at press time.
"The kids have played hard all season," head coach Mike Johanson said. "They learned to play high-quality rugby. They are able to score a lot of points. If we can keep mistakes to a minimum, Hudson is capable of beating any team in the playoffs."
Ruffing led Ohio Division 1 players in tries and points scored as of press time. Jason Eulberg led the league in conversions and was second in total points scored.
The Division 2 team lost a 34-24 decision to Akron Coventry May 1 at Lavelli Field.
