Hudson baseball team gets past North Olmsted

The Hudson baseball team improved to 20-3 on the season with a 4-2 victory over North Olmsted May 10 on the road.

Jacob McKenzie earned the win on the mound and Ian Swan got the save.

Dan Joseph finished with two hits, two runs batted in and a run scored for the Explorers.

Sam Evans added a double and a run scored and Kevin Zullo had a double for Hudson.

The second-seeded Explorers were scheduled to play the Akron Ellet-Brunswick winner in a Division I sectional title game May 13 at The Ballpark at Hudson. Results were not available at press time.

The winner of that game is set to play in a district semifinal contest May 19 at Hudson. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Explorers are set to visit Jackson in its regular-season finale May 17 in Massillon. Game time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
