Two Hudson track athletes set meet records at Woodridge Wrap-Up

The Hudson boys track and field team finished fourth with 85 points at the Woodridge Wrap-Up May 10 in Peninsula.

Copley won the nine-team competition with 113 points and Stow-Munroe Falls (105) and Woodridge (100) placed second and third, respectively.

The following Explorers finished in the top eight:

• 3,200-meter relay: Adam Green, Doni Moffa, Michael Spaans and Connor Sinko, third, 8 minutes, 20.34 seconds

• 800 relay: Green, Alex O'Keefe, Seamus Mooney and Logan Thomas, seventh, 1:40.43

• 1,600: Blake Roberts, sixth, 4:44.12

• 400 relay: Thomas Bevan, Brian Shawd, Billy Friend and Jake Gamertsfelder, seventh, 46.66

• 400: Marty McDonald, fifth, 52.37

• 300 hurdles: Matthew Gold, fourth, 42.02

• 200: Mooney, sixth, 23.42

• 3,200: Kyle Mau, first, meet-record 9:06.41; and Gavin Gaynor, second, 9:25.43

• 1,600 relay: Mooney, Gold, Alex O'Keefe and McDonald, seventh, 3:45.28

• Discus: John Brandon, first, meet-record 167 feet, 8 inches

• High jump: Thomas, second, 6 feet; and Jack Linert, 5-8

• Long jump: Bevan, third, 18-6; and Thomas, fourth, 18-5.5

• Shot put: David Lizanich, fourth, 43-9

• Pole vault: Jacob Teed, seventh, 9-6
