Hudson girls track squad places third at Brecksville Invitational

The Hudson girls track and field team placed third with 102 points at the four-team Bees Invitational May 10 at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School.

Brecksville won with 237 points and Berea-Midpark finished second with 145 points.

The following Lady Explorers placed in the top six:

• Distance medley: Arielle Dalea, Victoria Breeden, Sarah Wolanske and Gaby Palazzo, second, 12 minutes, 53.97 seconds

• 100-meter hurdles: Lauren Gorze, sixth, 17.77

• 100: Natalle Schwarz, sixth, 13.77

• 200: Brooke Royster, fourth, 28.48

• 3,200 relay: Dalea, Wolanske, Breeden and Palazzo, second, 10:02.04

• 800 relay: Royster, Kara Holley, Lauren Westerbeck and Ali Baylor, fourth, 1:53.77

• 400 relay: Royster, Holley, Gorze and Schwarz, fourth, 54.81

• 400: Baylor, third, 1:05.15

• 300 hurdles: Gorze, third, 49.5

• 800: Dalea, first, 2:26.97; and Breeden, fourth, 2:31.17

• 3,200: Wolanske, second, 12:12.97; and Eleanor Bashian, third, 12:13.47

• 1,600 relay: Baylor, Westerbeck, Breeden and Palazzo, third, 4:16.91

• Shot put: Heather Weaver, sixth, 27 feet, 4.5 inches

• Discus: Shilah Kidd, first, 93-7.5

• Long jump: Sydney Cravener, sixth, 14-7

• Pole vault: Macy Lori, third, school-record 10 feet; Jordan Miller, fourth, 9-6; and Teghan Piper, fifth, 8-6
