The host Hudson boys tennis team improved to 7-7 overall and 3-0 in the Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division after posting a 5-0 victory over Medina May 2.
Dominic Polifrone (6-1, 6-3), Jack Graham (6-1, 6-0) and Ryan Sosinski (6-1, 6-1) cruised in singles' play and the Explorers' doubles teams of Michael Wolowiecki and Chris Palmann (6-1, 6-0) and Joe Murphy and Nicci Polifrone (6-1, 6-2) also triumphed.
Host Hudson also lost a 4-1 decision to Copley in an Ohio Tennis Coaches Association match May 1.
Graham scored the Explorers' lone win (6-3, 6-0) at third singles.
Hudson was scheduled to visit Valley Division rival Mayfield May 5 and NOC foe Strongsville May 6. Results of those matches were not available at press time.
The Explorers are set to visit Valley Division rival Solon May 8 before heading to Brush High School in Lyndhurst for the NOC Valley Division Tournament May 9 at 9 a.m.
