Volleyball team gets past Brunswick

The host Hudson boys volleyball improved to 9-1 on the season after earning a 25-23, 25-22, 9-25, 23-25, 15-12 victory over Brunswick April 23 at Buck Hyser Gymnasium.

Hudson was ranked No. 4 in the Ohio North Region. Brunswick was ranked No. 6.

Sam Kline led Hudson with 28 kills and nine assists and Reggie Musnuff added 14 kills, including the last three to win the match.

Noah Stupica finished with nine blocks and Zeyd Ozgur contributed 28 assists.

Hudson was scheduled to play at Amherst April 28 and Kent Roosevelt April 29. Hudson is set to entertain Stow-Munroe Falls April 30 at 6 p.m.

WRA boys lacrosse squad drops two

The Western Reserve Academy boys lacrosse team lost both of its matches in Culver, Ind.

The Pioneers dropped a 15-3 decision to Culver April 27.

The also lost a 13-5 decision to Carmel (Ind.) April 26.

Reserve is scheduled to compete at the Midwest Lacrosse Coaches Association Tournament this week at Dublin Jerome High School.

WRA is set to open tournament play Columbus Thomas Worthington May 2.
